Candle Light

I shot this photograph of my best friend during her stay at my house. I lit a candle.
The glow and shadows the light created are very nice.

I added a duo-tone filter using a photo editing program.

To Ponder

I shot these photographs of my best friend and I during her stay at my house. We both love the outdoors. It is always so peaceful.

Her Swing

I shot these photographs of my relative as she was playing on her swing set.
She's laughing because she was trying to kick the camera out of my hands...

I adjusted the shadows and highlights and added a duo-tone filter in a photo editing program.

Typography

Introvert
I explored typography for my Digital Photography class. The assignment was to graphically display the meaning of a word. I choose "Introvert" because that word kept popping up in my head.

I changed the color of the words to blue, changed the perspective, and added a shadow filter in GIMP.

I hope to explore more in typography in the future.

The Me Side of "Nature Collage" Second Series

These are the photographs I shot for the "Nature Collage." Only one of these pictures are used for the collage.

I experimented with GIF sequences.
I love the effect.

The Me Side of "Nature Collage" First Series

These are the photographs I shot of myself for the "Nature Collage." Some of the pictures of my feet are included in the collage.

I experimented with GIF sequences.
I love the effect.

The Nature Side of "Nature Collage"

Dandelion

Moon

Fallen pine cone on a dirt road.
These are photographs I shot and added to the "Nature Collage." They are also my personal favorites.

The dandelion and pine on the road are the photographs added the collage before I edited them. The photograph of the moon is one I graphically manipulated. I added a grain filter and purple hue using a different editing program.

Natue Collage

My dog and I
I had to submit a picture for a Digital Photography assignment including on of the following themes: Black & White, Cold Cold Cold, or Funny. The theme I chose was Black & White.

I was only supposed to send one photograph but I had quite a few I thought would look good in B&W. So I created a collage of photographs I shot outside. I decreased the contrast and added squares of color in GIMP.

Elephant in "Toy Panoramic"

Ella
This photograph of the stuffed elephant is my favorite in the "Toy Panoramic." I edited the contrast and the temperature of the first two photographs. The bottom is the original and was used in "Toy Panoramic."

Toy Panoramic

Stuffed toys as props outside.
I had to create a panoramic view of a large area for my Digital Photography class. I went outside, arranged my chosen props in a circle, and photographed each one. I stitched the photos together in GIMP and adjusted the contrast, hue, saturation, and brightness of the photographs so they could be in harmony.

I love the playfulness of the outdoors and the toys.
Sorry if the photos are too small.

The Mystery

This is a portrait of me outside of my house's door. I love the shapes in this photograph. I changed the red hues found in my face to blue in GIMP.

I wonder what I was looking at...

Butterfly Landing

When I was younger, I always wanted a butterfly to land on me. My mom used to say that if I were very still, one would. So whenever a little butterfly fluttered around outside, I would be completely still, yet one never landed on me... Until this year. Here is a photograph I took of the first time a butterfly ever landed on me.
I drew and colored my hand in GIMP as shown in the top picture. The bottom is the actual photograph.

I told my mom about my butterfly acquaintance. She said it was probably sick.

New York

I went to New York in late August. While there, I took a photograph of the skyscrapers. I adjusted the temperature in the picture by increasing the yellow/orange hue.
It was actually a bit cool that day.

Take a Drink

An exploration of ellipse, rectangle, and line selection on GIMP.
Reminds me of soda.
